Cambodian Princess Brings Khmer Culture to Chinese TV

CHINA: Princess Jenna Norodom appeared on CCTV1's "The Beauty of Shared Arts" program and wore traditional Khmer costumes while performing the Chinese song, “Co-nourished by the Lancang-Mekong River,” in mid-December 2023.

The eleven-year-old Cambodian princess also performed a song in Khmer entitled "Angkor Way" accompanied by a performance of Khmer dance. The princess then gave an interview with the host of CCTV1 and explained the meaning of each traditional Khmer dance.

The Chinese host and hostess imitated the traditional Khmer dance performed by Princess Jenna and praised her for being young and well-versed in all forms of Khmer ancient art and Khmer cultural traditions.

Princess Jenna not only has the voice of an angel, but she can interpret songs in many languages including Khmer, English, Chinese, Thai and French. She also knows Khmer traditional dance and modern dance, and used to perform traditional Khmer drama.

Jenna is not only famous in Cambodia, but she has also appeared in many popular TV shows and programs abroad, always bringing Cambodian culture with her to the international stage.
